Compared to earlier versions of Microsoft Outlook, Outlook 2010 and later versions provide an easy method to enable advanced logging: through Event Tracing for Windows (ETW). When you enable ETW logging, an event trace log (.etl) file is generated. You typically use ETW logging on the Microsoft Exchange server where you have a mailbox. In this situation, you experience one or more of the following issues:
Note You may experience these issues for a variety of problems that may not be captured by this advanced RPC logging. For example, slow startup times can be caused by interactions with add-ins, and slow folder access can be caused by large mailboxes or folders. Neither of these problem scenarios can be analyzed by the advanced logging that is discussed in this article. For known performance issues that are caused by add-ins, large mailboxes, or folders, use the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA) tool. For More information about SaRA, see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Fix Outlook and Office 365 issues with Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365 There may be other issues that advanced logging can capture. If you aren't sure, contact a support engineer to help you with your support case before you enable advanced logging. The "More Information" section lists the steps that you can follow to enable global logging and advanced tracing. Additionally, it explains how to collect the log files after you have reproduced the problem when ETW tracing is enabled.Important To help protect customer data, the advanced trace log files are binary files that can't be read without a conversion process. You can upload log files to a secure location that is provided by Microsoft Customer Support Services. A support engineer from Microsoft can download and convert the log file for analysis.
When you enable global logging through the Outlook interface, Outlook generates both transport and advanced trace logs. The mail transport logs are text-based logs, such as OPML, IMAP, POP3, and SMTP. The advanced trace log contains advanced logging events. Advanced logging events include the following:
Create the following registry value at the specified location.Note Manually create any registry keys or values if they don't exist. Also, unless there are specific instructions, all registry keys are the same for 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Office. If the value already exists, make note of it.Subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\xx.0\Outlook\Options\ShutdownDWORD: FastShutdownBehaviorValue: 2The xx.0 placeholder stands for 14.0 in Outlook 2010, 15.0 in Outlook 2013, and 16.0 in Outlook 2016, Outlook for Office 365 and Outlook 2019.
In Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016, you can enable the advanced ETW logging without enabling global logging. If you use the following registry setting, the mail transport logs (POP3, SMTP, and so on) aren't generated. Additionally, the Outlook window title bar doesn't display the "Logging Enabled" string. To enable only advanced logging in Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016, follow these steps:
Subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\Microsoft\Office\xx.0\Outlook\Options DWORD: EnableConflictLoggingValue: 0 = Never save Modification Resolution logs 1 = Always save Modification Resolution logs 2 = Save Modification Resolution logs when a "critical conflict" occurs Note The xx.0 placeholder stands for 15.0 in Outlook 2013 and 16.0 in Outlook 2016, Outlook for Office 365 and Outlook 2019.
Basic authentication is turned off for Exchange Online mailboxes on Microsoft 365. This means that if Outlook 2013 is not configured to use modern authentication, it loses the ability to connect. For more information, see Basic authentication in exchange online.
To enable MFA for Office 2013 client apps, you must have the following software installed (the version listed below, or a later version) based on whether you have a Click-to-run based installation or an MSI-based installation.
If you are running the Windows 10 Enterprise Preview, you either need to stay in the Windows 10 Insider Preview Program, or activate using a product key from the Volume License Service Center (VLSC.) If you are not eligible to be running Windows 10 Enterprise, I suggest you make preparations to roll back to the original version of Windows your system was licensed for, and make a reservation to upgrade to Windows 10.
Your best option is to reinstall a valid license you have for either Windows 7, Windows 8.0, or Windows 8.1, make sure it is activated, then upgrade from that to Windows 10 on July 29th or later. If you maintain your current activated Windows 10 Preview, you should be able to upgrade it to the final release.
This issue particularly affects Windows 7 licenses. If you purchased your Windows 7 license from an auction website such as eBay or the Amazon, you might have mistakenly purchased a counterfeit copy. You can determine this by the product ID which determines your level of support.
If you discover that your license is from MSDN or TechNet, what probably happened is, you bought an MSDN licensed key, which carries up to 10 activations, unlike full packaged retail licenses which only carry 1 activation. The person who sold it to you probably sold it to 10 other people. Somewhere along the way, one of those persons might have installed it on a second system, activated it. Because it went past the 10 activation threshold, Microsoft detected that it was being abused and blocked the key from further use.
Hi, I upgraded from win 7 pro to 10. My laptop worked fine for weeks, then refused to start windows one morning. I tried the repairs available (advanced options, etc). I then downloaded the ISO file for win 10, that contains all the win 10 versions, I retrieved the win 10 pro product key from my drive, but during the win 10 installation it says the the key is invalid. Can anyone advise me, please. Thank you.
You can also retrieve your Windows product key via a third party program such as NirSoft ProduKey, which scans your Windows registry file for the product keys of other software. Install and run ProduKey to view a list of product keys stored in your registry file. However, it cannot find product keys for all programs. Most notably, Microsoft Office 2013 and Office 365 do not store their product keys in the registry file.
Office 2010 and Office 2013 do not store their product keys in an easily accessible location in the registry file and many third party programs cannot scan for them. However, you can use a script to find the last five digits of the product key.
Update, Microsoft Office 2013 no longer offers to look up with only the last 5 digits. They will only help if you have an email address or an entire product key. (*This may be relevant to other versions that will not display the entire key in the registry)
When you purchase new seats of Autodesk software, Autodesk may send you a serial number and product key, which you use to generate a license file. You can also find this information in Autodesk Account.
To generate a network license, you must be an administrator. You must also have a subscription with multi-user access for the product requiring the network license. If you have a mix of products and want to generate license file for all products, you can do so one product at a time.
When you have your license file, save it in the folder where you installed the Network License Manager. You can choose any filename, but use the extension .lic. Here are examples of license file locations for different operating systems:
You have an Acronis Cyber Protect 15 Advanced Virtual Host or Universal license or Acronis Cyber Protect 15 - Backup Advanced Virtual Host or Universal license (either subscription or perpetual) and want to back up Citrix XenServer, Red Hat Virtualization (RHV/RHEV), Nutanix AHV, KVM, Oracle virtual machines or virtual machines on a free ESX(i).
If you have Virtual Host or Universal license already assigned to either VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V or Scale Computing HC3 host (for agent-less backup), then VMs running on these hosts are automatically covered by this license, including VMs which have backup agents running inside them.
Note that the Revoke option from Settings > Licenses will not work for this license. If you want to revoke this license from all VMs where it was applied to, then you should do the following:
1. Make sure that you have sufficient number of licenses. Check how many licenses are registered under your Acronis Account. If you have subscription licenses, synchronize the console with Account using "Sync" button. If you use perpetual edition, add licenses as described in User Guide: see Managing Licenses More information about licensing policy can be found in Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 licensing
If you have a Hyper-V 2019 environment with Acronis Cyber Backup Agent for Hyper-V installed, check Agent for Hyper-V sporadically loses license on Hyper-V 2019 If a similar issue reproduces under different circumstances, collect System information from Management Server and the affected Agent machine and contact Acronis Support.
GitHub has many features that help you improve and maintain the quality of your code. Some of these are included in all plans, such as dependency graph and Dependabot alerts. Other security features require a GitHub Advanced Security license to run on repositories apart from public repositories on GitHub.com.
To purchase a GitHub Advanced Security license, you must be using GitHub Enterprise. For information about upgrading to GitHub Enterprise with GitHub Advanced Security, see "GitHub's products" and "About billing for GitHub Advanced Security."
You may receive MS Office Activation Error 0x4004f00d each time when you open any office product like MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook etc. No matter, how many times you enter the product key, the error will remain the same. This error is associated with MS Office 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, Office 365, Professional Plus Edition, Publisher Edition, and Home Edition. 2ff7e9595c
